  29. I have heard this fix mentioned several places, but it is not mentioned 
  30. in the A4000 hardware guide or in Dave Haynie's definitive buster article
  31. which also appeared in that guide.  Does replacing this chip fix the same 
  32. thing as the cut and jumper modification which upgrades the A3640 to rev 3.1?
  33. What I'd like to know is if this problem/modifcation is related to the 
  34. problems that are fixed by upgrading the A3640 from 3.0 -> 3.1 -> 3.2, or
  35. if it is an entirely different problem that only manifests itself when
  36. certain expansion cards are present (i.e. the CV64).
